Cream or Sugar?

I would like to reiterate the fact that I do NOT enjoy grocery shopping. Things are never very easy to find even if they do put giant directory signs over each aisle. Why is it the one thing I am looking for never falls under one of those categories on those signs? Fruit can easily be found in canned or fresh varieties, but locating the frozen fruit feels like the conclusion of a long and complicated scavenger hunt. In the Nampa Albertson's, the frozen blueberries really are hidden, next to the whipped cream but on only one shelf and too high for this inexperienced newlywed with only 61" of height.

And speaking of whipped cream, why are there at least five different options when shopping for cream? I have had little experience with cream, having never been a coffee or tea drinker. All I've known is whipped cream (or more specifically, Cool Whip, which I'm not even sure if it has real cream in it), ice cream (as in Cold Stone Creamery, yum!) and cream cheese. But apparently there's half & half, creamer, heavy cream, cream, whipping cream, and maybe light cream? I don't know, I just know I was supposed to get heavy cream and got whipping cream instead, which I guess will still work. To make my creamy experience even more of a jungle, the cashier rang up two creams when I actually only purchased one, and she forgot to ring up my Preferred Savings card as well. I did not notice either of these errors until my cream and I along with my other purchases were just leaving the parking lot. So I got to take my cream back in the store and have it re-rung up. As of now, I'm fed up with cream and will delay the recipe another day.

Tonight will be the start of the choir practice season for Karcher Church of the Nazarene. I have been very excited for this ever since I heard about it, but found out this week the choir director is the same man that will be my private voice teacher at NNU, and this little man intimidates me greatly! He's already thrown Mozart, Italian and German at me, expecting me to be able to do something with them! Yikes! Does he not understand that I am not a music major?

I've included some pics of Michael and our friend Forest at the NNU watersport day. Apparently this year it involved soap as well as water. I think the previous years they just used mud as a lubricant. So now I guess it's clean mud? Anyways, they had a lot of fun, and so did I, even if I was just the unoffical photographer. :)
